Clubs/Organizations
UPA students appreciate the benefits of associating with other like minded students around academic topics and establishing opportunities to expand their course associated interests through the establishment of clubs and organizations on campus. Students must complete a club application, create a club constitution and successfully associate the club or organization with an academic course currently offered at UPA in order to have a club or organization approved by school administration.

Girl Up
Girl Up is a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, gives girls and boys the opportunity to channel their energy and compassion to raise awareness and funds for programs of the United Nations that help some of the world's hardest-t-reach adolescent girls. Through Girl Up's support, girls have the opportunity to become educated, healthy, safe, counted, and positioned to be the next generation of leaders. Campaign supporters are encouraged to give a "High Five" to girls in developing countries by donating $5 or more to provide girls with such basic needs as access to school supplies, clean water, life-saving health services, safety from violence and more.
National Speech and Debate Association is "the largest interscholastic speech and debate organization serving middle school, high school, and collegiate students in the United States." (www.speechanddebate.org) This organization helps students increase their confidence, improve their public speaking skills, and develop better listening, debating, researching, and writing skills. These skills are vital as they prepare students for the 21st century. Speech and Debate gives students the opportunity to compete in regional, state, and national tournaments. As members of this organization students pledge to display integrity, humility, respect, and service.
